Blogging on a Saturday, who am I?! Someone very inspired by this lovely fall season, obviously. Give me all the cozy, chunky-knit blankets and rust-colored textiles. While I am a Cali girl through and through - which evidently leads to me knowing nothing about seasons - there is a true shift and refreshing vibe about fall. I love seeing fall-influenced palettes and being inspired to jump out of my own neutral-comfort zone a bit, even if it’s just through temporary accents and textiles. Here’s a glimpse into my own little slice of fall heaven - enjoy!
Happy Monday folks!
I'm kicking off this week with a super dreamy living room refresh. With summer just around the corner, I was left inspired by this sunshine-filled weekend. I always like to keep spaces overall pretty light and bright, to allow for eclectic pops through decor and textiles. Incorporating some natural, organic element is always key to making a space feel extra homey - this amazing wool-herringbone rug from Armadillo & Co. gives you exactly that with some subtle interest through the pattern. Now the real question - when can I move in?!

In case you missed it...
I recently had a pop-up shop at West Elm in San Diego. WOOT WOOOOT! Nothing like a good excuse to connect with your community, am I right?! I really wanted to find a way to bring this amazing DIY floating acrylic frame project to people via the 'A Beautiful Mess' blog, without conducting a workshop where I had 20+ people I didn't know using a power drill. Floating acrylic frames can be a bit pricey, and this technique really accomplished the look for a lot less $$.
The next step was easy - finding the perfect print to be sold alongside this acrylic frame. I have loved the abstract, doodle pieces (shown in the image above) from Wink Wink Studio for quite some time, and worked with the lovely artist and owner to commission one-of-a-kind pieces just for the pop-up. For those of you who missed it (or aren't local to San Diego!) I'll be opening an online shop selling some leftover prints from the pop-up. Any purchase of a print will come with a goodie bag including ALL materials for the 'DIY floating acrylic frame'. AMAZING! You're welcome. ;)
More pictures from the pop-up below, thank you so much West Elm San Diego for having me!
Ever find yourself pinning the same thing? Take a look at what I keep going back to... what I love most about design is finding those aspects that prove to be timeless to you. AKA you know you really love something when you keep pinning it. I always find myself drawn to a neutral palette, with points of interest and pops that surprise you. Neutrals never go out of style, and you can still spice things up with neutrals by mixing textures and materials. See below for some beautiful examples of what I'm talking about.
